The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Akontombra, Mr. Joseph Appiah, has announced that the National Ambulance Service will return to the district by the end of this month.

According to Mr. Appiah, staff of the Ghana Ambulance Service assigned to Akontombra have been operating from Sefwi Bekwai due to the lack of suitable accommodation and office space in the district.

He explained that upon assuming office, he took steps to renovate an old building belonging to the District Assembly to serve as a permanent office for the service.

Mr. Appiah made this disclosure during the visit of the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to the Akontombra Constituency.
The DCE further revealed that he has engaged the Regional Ambulance Service Director, who has assured him that by the end of the month, all the staff will be relocated to Akontombra.

Mr. Appiah emphasized that this initiative forms part of his broader efforts to promote development and improve essential services in the district.
