The Member of Parliament for Sefwi Wiawso Constituency, Kofi Afful Bentel, has revealed that the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, endorsed the constituency’s manifesto ahead of the 2024 general elections.
According to the MP, the campaign team initially struggled with their campagin message for the people of Sefwi Wiawso during the campaign period. They forwarded their manifesto to the national chairman for his review and approval.
“During our campaign, we faced difficulties with our message. We sent our manifesto to Chairman Asiedu Nketiah to review it, and after going through it, he told us he found no mistakes or issues. He approved it and encouraged us to use it,” Bentel said.
He added that Mr. Asiedu Nketiah’s endorsement and strategic advice gave the team renewed confidence, which later contributed to the NDC’s electoral success in the 2024 general elections.
Bentel also praised the NDC Chairman for his commitment and leadership, noting that he personally joined the campaign team on the ground despite challenging weather conditions.
“Asiedu Nketiah stayed with us throughout the campaign, even during the rainy season. His dedication and presence inspired both the campaign team and our supporters,” he stated.
The MP emphasized that Asiedu Nketiah’s leadership and involvement played a crucial role in strengthening party unity and driving the NDC’s victory in the constituency.
