The Member of Parliament (MP) for Akontombra Constituency, Pious Kwame Nkuah, has paid a working visit to inspect ongoing construction works on the Akontombra–Dadieso road under the government’s Big Push Project.

The road, which connects the Akontombra and Dadieso districts, is among several major projects aimed at improving road infrastructure and enhancing economic activities in the Western North Region.

Speaking during the inspection, Nkuah expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work being executed by the contractor. He commended the contractor for demonstrating remarkable commitment, noting that within just three months of commencing work, significant progress had been made.

“Although five road projects have been awarded under the Big Push initiative, the contractor working on the Akontombra–Dadieso stretch is progressing faster than all the others,” he stated.

The MP pledged his continued support to the contractor to ensure the timely completion of the project.

The site foreman for Kingspok Construction Limited, Mr. Charles Kwadwo Akwaboah, revealed that the total length of the road is 26 kilometres. He indicated that within three months, the team had completed 6.5 kilometres of earthworks, constructed 6,500 metres of drains, storm drains, installed 1,200 metres of culverts, and executed other drainage works.

Mr. Akwaboah added that the project has a two-year completion timeline, but the company is determined to finish ahead of schedule.
