Bodi Senior High School Granted Boarding Status by GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially approved Bodi Senior High School in the Western North Region to operate as a Day and Boarding institution.

In a letter dated 20th November 2025, and signed by the Acting Director-General of GES, Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, the Service announced that the school, which was established in 2012 as a day school, has now been granted boarding status.

According to the statement, the decision aims to enhance access to quality education and provide a conducive environment for effective teaching and learning. The Regional Director of Education has been directed to make the necessary arrangements to post the required personnel to the school to support its new operations.

The GES also advised the Head of Bodi Senior High School to liaise with the Free SHS Secretariat to facilitate the implementation of the new boarding system.

Prof. Davis, in the letter, extended congratulations to the school on attaining its new status and encouraged management to ensure the effective running of both the day and boarding components.

The approval marks a significant milestone for Bodi Senior High School and is expected to improve academic performance, discipline, and student welfare in the institution.
