The Chief Executive Officer of LegendReport.com, Mr. Emmanuel Sowah, yesterday paid a courtesy call on the Western North Regional Minister, Wilbert Petty Brentum, at his office. During the visit, Mr. Sowah presented a Citation of Honour to the Minister in recognition of his immense support for the growth of LegendReport.com, a new media platform dedicated to promoting the region’s image.
Mr. Sowah used the occasion to share the aim and vision of LegendReport.com. He explained that the platform was established to “change the narrative of the Western North Region” by delivering accurate, timely, and inspiring news and stories that reflect the region’s true potential. According to him, too often the region is spoken about in negative terms, and the purpose of LegendReport.com is to restore pride and project the good image of the Western North.
Highlighting the wealth of the region, he noted that the platform seeks to showcase the abundant natural resources and the diverse talents of the people. By focusing on authentic storytelling, the site will serve as a vehicle for positive transformation and pride in the region’s achievements.
Expounding on the long-term vision, Mr. Sowah emphasized that LegendReport.com aims to become the leading media platform that will transform the perception of Western North by telling authentic, inspiring, and impactful stories. He added that the initiative will help bridge the gap between rural communities and the wider world while empowering local talent, promoting development, and driving progress through ethical journalism, digital innovation, and community engagement.
In response, Mr.Wilbert Petty Brentum commended Mr. Sowah for his foresight and determination to promote the Western North Region through journalism. He pledged his full support to the initiative and encouraged the youth to embrace the vision by contributing their efforts to uplift the image of the region.
The Regional Minister described Western North as one of the most beautiful regions in Ghana, particularly highlighting its landscape and its capital. He stressed that although outsiders sometimes speak negatively about the area, the region remains the food basket of the nation and possesses abundant natural resources to support national growth.
Mr.Brentum concluded by encouraging everyone to support the platform by reading, sharing, and promoting its stories. He expressed confidence that LegendReport.com will become a powerful tool to showcase the beauty, culture, and opportunities of Western North to Ghana and the world.
