Church of Pentecost Collaborates with Juaboso District Assembly on Sanitation Crusade

The Church of Pentecost Juaboso Area, in collaboration with the Juaboso District Assembly, has launched a sanitation crusade aimed at promoting cleanliness across communities in the district.

The initiative follows a directive from the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, urging all churches under the denomination to support the national sanitation agenda being championed by the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking during the launch, the Juaboso Area Head of the church, Apostle Shadrach Ohene Asaa Otoo, emphasized that cleanliness is a key value for both the church and society.

According to him, “cleanliness is next to godliness,” and sanitation will now form part of the church’s action plan from now until 2028.

He explained that the vision is to support the President’s initiative to keep the country clean and promote healthy living among citizens.

Apostle Otoo revealed that the Chairman of the church has directed all Church of Pentecost assemblies across the country to collaborate with their respective district assemblies to implement sanitation campaigns.

As part of the exercise, the church will organize clean-up activities throughout the weekend and will join the Juaboso District Assembly for a mega clean-up exercise on Saturday in Juaboso and surrounding communities.

He added that pastors and church officers have been tasked to replicate the exercise in their various localities to ensure the campaign reaches every community.

Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive for Juaboso, Alexander Adu Quist, expressed appreciation to the Church of Pentecost for the initiative.

He noted that although sanitation is primarily the responsibility of the assembly, the church’s organized approach to the campaign is commendable.

He assured that the Juaboso District Assembly will provide the necessary support to ensure the success of the sanitation initiative.
