Don’t Leave the Party If You’ve Not Received an Appointment Yet,-Akandoh Urges NDC Members

The Member of Parliament for Juaboso and Minister of Health,Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has advised members and executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) not to feel disappointed or abandon the party because they have not yet received any political appointments.

According to him, some members are expressing frustration that despite their hard work to bring the party to power, they have not benefited from it. He cautioned that leaving the party is not the solution.

Sharing his own experience, Mr. Akandoh recounted that when he served as the Deputy Youth Organizer for the then Western Region, he worked tirelessly to help the party win power and expected to be appointed as a District Chief Executive (DCE). However, he was not selected for the position.

He revealed that the decision saddened him deeply, and despite being mistreated and even threatened in Akontombra — where his motorbike was burnt — he continued to serve the party faithfully without any appointment.

“Although it was painful, I never gave up. I kept working for the party, and later, when the opportunity came for me to contest the Juaboso seat, the party supported me,” he said.

Akandoh encouraged all NDC members who feel neglected to remain loyal, stressing that patience and unity are key to strengthening the party for future success.
