The long-awaited commissioning of the Enchi Kwawu Police Station in the Aowin Municipality of the Western North Region is set to take place soon.
About a month ago, Legendreport reported that the Western Regional Police Command had inspected the newly constructed police station at Enchi Kwawu. Following the inspection, the Regional Commander,DCOP Dr. Francis Kwame Tsidi made several recommendations that needed to be addressed before the facility could be officially commissioned.
Nana Tano Kabaah, the Chief of Enchi Kwawu and the lead contributor to the construction of the station, assured the Commander that all recommendations would be implemented. True to his word, Nana Kabaah has fulfilled all the requirements outlined by the police command.

According to Nana Kabaah, the facility is now in excellent condition and ready for commissioning. He emphasized that discussions are currently ongoing with the regional police command to agree on a suitable date for the official ceremony.
The project is a remarkable community effort, with over 10 billion old Ghana cedis (equivalent to 1 million Ghana cedis) mobilized by Nana Kabaah and the local residents to complete the facility.
The Enchi Kwawu Police Station includes:
Three separate custody cells for males, females, and juveniles
A Station Officer’s office
A Criminal Investigation Department (CID) office
A barracks for police personnel

This new facility is expected to greatly enhance security and law enforcement services in the area.
