“Energy Drinks or Silent Killers? CEO Blows Whistle on Dangerous Beverages”

The CEO of Demih’s Natural Fruit Juice, Mr. Emmanuel Demiah, has issued a passionate appeal for Ghanaians to pay closer attention to the health implications of their dietary choices. Speaking at the official launch of Demih’s Natural Fruit Juice, Mr. Demiah emphasized the urgent need for public awareness and regulatory action in light of the increasing number of premature deaths linked to unhealthy food and drink consumption.

He cautioned consumers to thoroughly assess the origins, health impacts, and regulatory status of beverages before consuming them.

“We urge Ghanaians not to just take in anything without checking its background. It’s very important that they consider their safety first. We are tired of the frequent deaths due to the bad intake of food, drinks, etc.,” Mr. Demiah stated.

He further alleged that a significant number of beverages currently sold on the Ghanaian market are dangerous and may be contributing to widespread health problems and fatalities.

These concerns have been echoed by several citizens, especially women, who have reported experiencing serious health complications after consuming certain drinks marketed as energy boosters. Some even claimed to have developed infections such as gonorrhea and “white” (vaginal discharge) as a result of consuming these products.

In light of these alarming reports, they are calling on the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) to intensify inspections across the market and withdraw any hazardous or expired beverages to safeguard public health.
