In a remarkable demonstration of academic excellence and innovative teaching skills, Wiawso College of Education has claimed the top spot in the 2025 National Grand Finale of the Pedagogy Challenge. The event, organized by the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG), brought together the most outstanding teacher training institutions from across the country to compete in a showcase of educational prowess.
The grand finale took place at St. Francis College of Education in Hohoe and featured four regional sector representatives:
Wiawso College of Education (Western, Western North, and Central Sector)
Akatsi College of Education (Volta Sector)
Methodist College of Education (Eastern and Greater Accra Sector)
St. Joseph College of Education (Ashanti and Bono Sector)
After a spirited and intellectually charged competition, Wiawso College of Education emerged victorious with a commanding 74 points. They were followed by St. Joseph College of Education with 69 points, Akatsi College of Education with 61 points, and Methodist College of Education with 51 points.

This outstanding achievement reflects the unwavering dedication, preparation, and teamwork of both the students and faculty of Wiawso College of Education. Their victory not only elevates the college’s reputation but also brings pride to the Western, Western North, and Central regions—underscoring the potential for academic excellence and innovation in teacher education.
