Frank Asare Pedro Sponsors second runner up Prize for Western North Youth Reading Festival

Western North Region – November 4, 2025:
The Western North Youth Reading Festival for Senior High Schools is set to take place on November 28, 2025, with Frank Asare Pedro, Esq., serving as the sponsor for the second runner up of the of event’s .

Lawyer Pedro, who serves as the National Coordinator for Responsible Cooperative Mining and Skills Development, has committed to supporting the festival as part of his ongoing effort to promote literacy, education, and youth empowerment in the region.

The Teacher Amoako Foundation, in collaboration with the Western North Development Association and the Ghana Education Service, is organizing the reading festival to foster a strong reading culture among students. The event aims to nurture literacy skills, critical thinking, and confidence among young people across the region.

Seven senior high schools are expected to participate in this year’s competition, including:

Sefwi Wiawso Senior High School

Sefwi Wiawso Senior High Technical School

Asawinso Senior High School

Sefwi Bekwai Senior High School

Awaso STEM Senior High School

Queens Girls Senior High School

At the end of the competition, the winning school will take home a cash prize of ₵4,000, the first runner-up will receive ₵2,000, and the second runner-up will earn ₵1,000. Second runner prizes is proudly sponsored by lawyer Pedro to encourage students to enhance their reading abilities and literacy levels.

Speaking about his support, lawyer Pedro noted that investing in education and reading culture is a vital step toward empowering the next generation of leaders.
