The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Juaboso, Mr. Alexander Adu Quist, has been crowned as the Ntotoyehene (Chief of Planning) of the Juaboso palace. This honour was conferred upon him during a courtesy call he paid to the chiefs of Sefwi Juaboso. The chief of Sefwi Juaboso, Nana Anhwiama, led the ceremony and adorned Mr. Adu Quist with traditional textiles, signifying his new role as a strategic planner for the town.
Nana Anhwiama described Mr. Adu Quist as a master planner. He noted that within just one month of assuming office as DCE, Mr. Quist had already made meaningful changes, correcting several issues that were not progressing in the right direction. According to the chief, the DCE has steered Juaboso onto a better path.Among the developments Nana Anhwiama highlighted were the drainage works at Benzamartha and Wohoyaa rivers in Juaboso, and the relocation of market women from the roadside to more appropriate areas.
These initiatives, he said, are evidence of Adu Quist’s visionary planning and dedication.Because of this, the chief said he found Mr. Adu Quist deserving of the title Ntotoyehene, and pledged his full support for him. Nana Anhwiama assured him of the authority and backing of the traditional council to take every necessary step to restore and improve Juaboso.Mr. Adu Quist, in response, humbly accepted the honour and promised to continue supporting the chief in planning and development efforts.
He stated that his name, “Adu Quist”, symbolizes planning and purpose—and that he would live up to that by dedicating himself to the progress of Juaboso.In conclusion, the DCE promised to do everything within his power to move Juaboso forward. He also called on the blessings and support of Nananom to help him achieve the goals they have entrusted to him.
