Interior Minister Swears In Nana Ahenkan as Fire Service Board Chair

Last week, Legendreport, reported the appointment of Nana Ofori Ahenkan, Chief of Sefwi Boinzan and Krontihene of the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area, as the Chairman of the Governing Board of the Ghana National Ambulance Service. The news broke after the Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, disclosed the appointment during an interview with Alaska Joe Junior on the morning show on Rainbow Radio.

However, in a swift turn of events, Nana Ofori Ahenkan’s appointment has been redirected. He will now serve as the Chairman of the Governing Board of the Ghana National Fire Service.

While the portfolio has changed, the confidence in Nana Ahenkan’s capabilities remains unwavering. With a solid background in military and international peacekeeping, he is no stranger to leadership in the security sector. Nana Ofori Ahenkan served in the Canadian Armed Forces and participated in United Nations peacekeeping missions, gaining vast experience in both discipline and strategy.

His intelligence, dedication, and deep understanding of security issues make him an ideal choice to steer the affairs of the Ghana National Fire Service. His leadership is expected to bring renewed energy, focus, and direction to the board.

Earlier today, Nana Ofori Ahenkan and other board members were officially sworn in by the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak.

We extend our best wishes to Nana Ofori Ahenkan and the newly inaugurated board as they take on this critical responsibility to support the Ghana National Fire Service in safeguarding lives and property across the country.
