The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Juaboso, Alexander Adu Quist, says he can justify his work, but it is the people he serves who have the final say in judging whether he has performed well or not.
Adu Quist, who assumed office about ten months ago, stated that he has undertaken several development initiatives since taking charge of the Juaboso District Assembly. However, he emphasized that it is not his place to praise himself, as the residents are the best judges of his performance.

Upon his swearing-in in April, the DCE made three key promises — accountability, improved sanitation, and enhanced Internally Generated Fund (IGF) collection.
On accountability, he pledged to render accounts to the people every six months through town hall meetings. The first such meeting was held at the Church of Pentecost in Juaboso, and another in Bonsu Nkwanta.
Regarding sanitation, Adu Quist said the Assembly has introduced a project to provide waste bins along major streets in Juaboso to curb littering. He added that traders who previously sold along the main highway have been relocated to the market area to ensure safety and decongest the roads for smooth vehicular movement.

He also mentioned that the Assembly has instituted monthly clean-up exercises held on the first Saturday of every month across communities in the district.
Touching on IGF mobilization, the DCE revealed that since the district’s establishment, no previous administration had met its revenue target. However, under his leadership, the Assembly exceeded its target last year. He explained that this was achieved by engaging 12 revenue collectors who receive 30 percent of the revenue they mobilize as commission, a strategy that has boosted efficiency and motivation.
Adu Quist reaffirmed his commitment to work diligently with Assembly staff to advance development in the district. He added that he aims to leave behind a strong foundation for his successors to build upon.

“I am doing my best, but it is the people who can judge my work. My focus is on service and development for Juaboso,” he said.
