The people of Sefwi Juaboso in the Western North Region are celebrating the excellent work of Detective Lance Corporal Gordon Annor, a CID officer at the Juaboso Police Station. Since his posting in 2020, Annor has earned widespread praise for his discipline, dedication, and integrity.
Residents describe him as approachable, humble, and respectful—traits that have restored their faith in the Ghana Police Service. Many say Officer Annor is a shining example of what a police officer should be: firm but fair, committed to justice, and always professional in his duties.“Before, we feared the police because of corruption and misconduct. But CID Annor has shown us that policing can be done with honesty and integrity,” one community member said.
Previously, the Juaboso District faced high levels of crime, including robberies targeting market women and motorbike thefts. However, since Officer Annor joined the station, residents report a significant decline in such incidents. This progress, they note, is a result of the hard work of Annor and his colleagues, led by the District Commander.One man shared, “I used to be afraid whenever I heard the word ‘police.’ But after meeting Officer Annor, that fear is gone. Now I see the police as our friends.
Many in the community now feel inspired to encourage their children to consider careers in law enforcement, thanks to Annor’s example. His ability to clearly explain legal matters and treat people with fairness has deeply impressed locals.Calls have been made for the Inspector General of Police and senior officials to recognize and reward Officer Annor for his contributions.
He embodies the police motto—’Service with Integrity’—and has truly proven the value of honest policing,” a resident stated.Women in the community have even offered prayers for Annor’s safety, asking for divine protection and wisdom for him as he continues his service.Annor’s work ethic, discipline, and adherence to police codes have helped rebuild trust in law enforcement in the Juaboso area.
