Residents of Juaboso in the Western North Region have appealed to the Police Council to promote Detective Lance Corporal Golden Annor for his exceptional contribution to the fight against crime in the district.
According to the residents, Detective Annor has played a tremendous role in reducing criminal activities in Juaboso since his posting to the area in 2020. They noted that before his arrival, armed robbery and other violent crimes were rampant, with robbers frequently attacking travelers and seizing valuables along major roads.
The residents commended Annor and his team for their commitment, which has led to a significant drop in armed robbery, theft, and burglary cases. They particularly mentioned the arrest and successful prosecution of a notorious criminal, Mallam Victor Biney, who was sentenced to 30 years in prison for robbery and murder an investigation they said was led by Detective Annor despite threats to his life.
They further cited his efforts in tackling motorcycle theft, break-ins, and other crimes, stressing that his professionalism, dedication, and integrity have earned the respect of the community.
The residents therefore called on the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and the Police Council to recognize and promote Detective Lance Corporal Golden Annor, describing him as an exemplary officer who upholds the core values of the Ghana Police Service.
Detective Annor has served in the Juaboso District Police Command for six years, where he continues to demonstrate tireless commitment to maintaining peace and security in the area.
