The long-awaited expansion of the Jusboso Government Hospital is finally set to commence, as preparations for the official sod-cutting ceremony have been completed. This significant development marks a major step forward in improving healthcare infrastructure in the Jusboso area.

The Member of Parliament for Jusboso, who also serves as the Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, had earlier assured residents that the government would undertake the hospital’s expansion through the Ministry of Health. This promise has been warmly welcomed by the people, who have long expressed the need for improved medical facilities in the community.

Excitement continues to grow among residents following the clearing of the designated land for the project. The site, prepared earlier this week by the district assembly, will house the new hospital facilities and support services. The local authorities, in collaboration with health sector stakeholders, have ensured that all preliminary steps have been completed.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Jusboso, Alexander Adu Quist, confirmed that construction will begin soon. He emphasized that the project goes beyond renovation, describing it as a full-scale building effort that will significantly boost the capacity of the existing hospital.
According to the DCE, the upgraded facility will include a new emergency ward, a labour ward, and other critical departments. These additions are expected to reduce pressure on the current hospital and enhance emergency response and maternal care in the region.

Final arrangements between the Ministry of Health and the contractor have been completed. The sod-cutting ceremony, which will officially kick-start the construction, is scheduled for this weekend, signaling the beginning of a new era for healthcare delivery in Jusboso.
