Legendreport has presented a citation to a hardworking midwife at Enchi Kwawu in the Aowin Municipal of the Western North Region in recognition of her dedication to service.
Mabel Taylor a midwife at the Methodist Clinic at Enchi Kwawu, received the honour for her outstanding and selfless service to the people of the community.
According to Legendreport, Mabel’s recognition followed an exceptional act of compassion when she went beyond her professional duties to support a pregnant woman who had stopped attending antenatal care due to financial difficulties.
Upon noticing the woman’s condition, Mabel took it upon herself to solicit funds from individuals to support her medical needs. Through her initiative, the woman was able to receive proper care throughout the pregnancy.
During labour, the pregnant woman was referred to Enchi for further medical attention. Mabel reportedly left her duty post to personally accompany and care for the woman until she safely delivered her baby.
Legendreport described the act as an outstanding example of dedication to humanity and a demonstration that healthcare is not only a profession but also a service driven by compassion.
Presenting the citation, the Chief Executive Officer of Legendreport, Emmanuel Sowah, commended Mabel for her commitment and humanitarian spirit.
He encouraged her to remain steadfast in her service to the people, noting that although not everyone may appreciate such sacrifices, her dedication continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of many.
Receiving the citation, Mabel Taryol expressed gratitude to Legendreport for the recognition. She said the gesture has motivated her to continue serving the community with greater dedication.
According to her, the recognition has strengthened her belief that good work does not go unnoticed and that people are always observing the impact of selfless service.
