Mahama’s 120-Day Plan Ignites Public Excitement

President John Dramani Mahama pledged to deliver 26 key promises within his first 120 days in office—and today marks that milestone. In his address to Ghanaians, he committed to major reforms including the abolition of the E-Levy, betting tax, and emissions tax. He also promised to reduce the size of government, limiting ministerial appointments to just 60.

Among his notable pledges was the introduction of “Mahama Care,” a new healthcare initiative aimed at improving access to affordable health services for all Ghanaians.

Legendreport.com assessed the president’s performance at the 120-day mark. In the Western North Region, spoken with residents of Sefwi Juaboso to gauge their views on the president’s progress.

Many residents praised Mahama’s early leadership, calling his 120 days in office “remarkable.” They acknowledged that while not all 26 promises have been fulfilled, a majority have been addressed. These include the removal of the E-Levy and betting and emissions taxes, as well as a reduction in fuel prices and a stabilization of the cedi against the dollar.

Citizens expressed renewed hope that President Mahama’s leadership would improve living standards across the country. They also urged him to continue working hard to ensure long-term economic stability and greater support for ordinary Ghanaians.
