A 40-year-old man, identified as Christopher Kabore, has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife, Nadeye Jasoze, aged 31, at Saa-Kwesikrom near Bonsu Nkwanta in the Western North Region.
According to reports, security officers stationed at Nkyensikorkor received a distress call around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, indicating that a man had killed his wife and had been apprehended.
The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Juaboso Police Station for further action. Later that morning, an investigative team, accompanied by the suspect, visited Saa-Kwesikrom for further examination. The suspect led officers to a palm plantation near his rice farm, about 300 metres from his residence, and pointed out a freshly covered heap of soil where he admitted to burying his wife.

The body was exhumed in the presence of security personnel and some residents. Reports indicate that the deceased was wearing multi-coloured trousers and a black shirt stained with blood, with multiple cuts on her head and shoulders, and her throat slashed—injuries believed to have been caused by a sharp weapon.
A cutlass and a hoe, identified by the suspect as the implements used in the crime, were retrieved from the scene as evidence. The body has since been conveyed to the Juaboso Government Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect and the deceased, both citizens of Burkina Faso, had relocated to Ghana for work and lived together with their four children.

The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue. Arrangements are underway for a post-mortem examination before he is arraigned before court.
