Bia West DCE Leads Successful Clean-Up Exercise in Debiso and Essam
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bia West, Mr. Mathew Annor, has led a massive clean-up exercise aimed at mobilizing residents to contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment. The initiative, held simultaneously in Debiso and Essam Townships, attracted hundreds of participants from diverse backgrounds.
The exercise was organized by the Bia West District Assembly with the goal of promoting sanitation and instilling a strong sense of environmental responsibility among residents. Under the leadership of the DCE, stakeholders from various walks of life came together to clear waste, sweep streets, and desilt drains.

Traditional rulers, clergymen, lecturers, students, market women, and other community members actively participated in the campaign. Their collective efforts not only transformed the physical environment but also fostered a spirit of unity and social responsibility in the district.
Speaking after the exercise, Mr. Annor expressed his delight at the turnout and the commitment shown by participants. He emphasized that environmental cleanliness is crucial to the health and well-being of the people and called on residents to make sanitation a part of their daily lives.
