The Chief of Enchi Kwawu, Nana Tano Kabaah II, has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of Bonah Isaac, popularly known as Bona Ray, a respected journalist and morning show host at Max FM in Enchi.
Describing the late broadcaster as more than just a friend, Nana Tano Kabaah said Bona Ray was like a son to him — respectful, hardworking, and always keeping close ties with him both on and off the air. He recalled how the journalist frequently acknowledged him during his radio shows, highlighting the strong bond they shared.

The chief expressed disbelief over Bona Ray’s untimely death, reflecting on how difficult it is to come to terms with the loss of such a vibrant and energetic young man. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pledged his full support towards the final funeral rites.
Bona Ray was a renowned morning show host at Max FM in Enchi and a dedicated member of the Western North Journalists Association. He tragically lost his life on 6th June 2025 in a fatal road accident.
His final funeral rites are scheduled to take place from Friday, 1st August to Sunday, 3rd August 2025, at the Enchi Funeral Grounds. He will be laid to rest on Saturday, 2nd August.
