The New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries are underway today, 31st January 2026, as the party elects its flagbearer ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In the Juaboso Constituency, a total of 734 delegates are expected to cast their votes. The constituency has only one polling center, located at the Juaboso Forestry Commission.

The atmosphere at the voting center is calm and peaceful. The Juaboso District Police Command has deployed adequate security personnel to ensure peace and order throughout the voting process.
Mr. Stephen Afum, NPP Constituency Chairman for Juaboso, assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to maintain peace and transparency during the exercise.

He explained that the election committee, in collaboration with the police, has restricted access to the inner perimeter of the voting area.
“Only delegates who are scheduled to vote will be allowed to enter the inner perimeter, and after casting their vote, they must exit immediately,” he said.
He further cautioned that no delegate is allowed to take photos or screenshots of their ballot paper during voting.
According to Mr. Afum, all delegates who are in the queue before 2:00 p.m. will be permitted to vote. The voting process is expected to conclude at 2:00 p.m.
