The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is preparing to elect its flagbearer for the 2028 presidential election, with the presidential primary set for January 31, 2026.
The aspiring candidates include Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Ing. Kwabena Agyepong.
LegendReport conducted an opinion poll in the Juaboso Constituency to assess who residents believe should lead the party into the 2028 general election.
The poll randomly sampled 11 respondents across the constituency. Out of the 11 participants, seven (7) preferred Kennedy Agyapong, two (2) chose Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, while the remaining two (2) said they would support any candidate who wins the primary.
According to respondents, many of the youth in Juaboso favor Kennedy Agyapong because of his strong advocacy for job creation and youth empowerment. They believe his ideas and policies could help address unemployment challenges facing young Ghanaians.
Some participants expressed hope that, if elected, Kennedy Agyapong’s leadership would bring renewed opportunities for the youth.
Kennedy Agyapong previously won in the Juaboso Constituency during the last NPP presidential primaries, and this latest poll suggests he maintains a strong lead in the area ahead of the upcoming contest.
