The Western North Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Addo Harry, has commended the Suaman District Chief Executive, Vasco Obour, for his commitment and determination in the fight against illegal mining activities in the district.
According to Addo Harry, the DCE has shown strong leadership in addressing the challenges posed by galamsey and has remained resolute in protecting the environment and the interests of the people of Suaman.
He alleged that while some Municipal and District Chief Executives across the region are involved in illegal mining,Obour has distinguished himself by staying clear of such acts and focusing on the development of his district.
Addo Harry emphasized that the people of Suaman are pleased with the DCE’s performance and encouraged him to continue his good work. He further noted that any deviation from his current efforts would attract close scrutiny, as the people expect consistent commitment to the fight against galamsey.
He reiterated that, Obour’s dedication to curbing illegal mining is a reflection of good governance and the kind of leadership the people of Suaman desire.
