One Dead, 30 Injured in Ejisu Road Accident

one person has been confirmed dead, while 30 others sustained various degrees of injury, following a road accident on Monday morning at Krapa, near Ejisu, in the Ashanti Region.
The incident, which occurred around 11:40 a.m.

on the Kumasi–Ejisu highway, involved a Toyota vehicle with registration number AS 3552-20 and a Ford vehicle with registration number AW 3264-21.

According to eyewitnesses the collision was severe, leaving several passengers trapped and critically injured. Emergency responders and residents rushed to the scene to assist in rescuing the victims.

All the injured passengers were transported to the Living Waters Hospital in Ejisu for medical attention.
Confirming the incident, the Medical Director of Living Waters Hospital, Dr. Gabriel Sakyi Kwofie, disclosed that a total of 31 passengers were brought to the facility. He said one person was pronounced dead on arrival, while the remaining 30 victims are currently receiving treatment.

Dr. Kwofie further revealed that two students were among the injured but are responding positively to treatment.

Police have commenced investigations into the cause of the accident.
