PRESSURE AND PROSTATE CANCER AMONG LEADING HEALTH ISSUES IN WESTERN NORTH REGION – DR. ADOM DIVINE

Dr. Adom Qofy Divine, CEO of Active Life Dietary Health Services, has stated that high blood pressure and prostate cancer are the leading health concerns in Ghana’s Western North Region.

According to Dr. Divine, over 60% of people in the region are living with high blood pressure, commonly referred to as “pressure.” He attributes this to factors such as overthinking, financial stress, poor sleep habits, the consumption of leftover or overnight food, and poor blood circulation.

“Most of the people are dealing with pressure because of the lifestyle they lead—stress, bad eating habits, and lack of rest are contributing heavily,” he explained. “Our health screenings clearly show high blood pressure as the dominant condition in the area.”

On prostate cancer, Dr. Divine warned that the condition is affecting not only the elderly but also a growing number of young men. He emphasized the importance of regular sexual activity as a way to support prostate health. “Men over the age of 40 should aim to have sex at least three times a week. It helps keep the prostate healthy,” he advised.

Dr. Divine’s clinic, Active Life Dietary Health Services, focuses solely on using food and vegetables for healing. They do not use herbal or pharmaceutical (orthodox) medicine. The approach is based on the belief that the body can repair itself naturally when nourished properly with the right nutrients.

“Our system doesn’t need drugs or chemicals to heal. It just needs the right food,” he stressed.
