The Member of Parliament for Sefwi Wiawso, Kofi Bentel Afful, has emphasized that the development of Sefwi Wiawso should be the top priority for all its citizens. He stated that the time for political campaigns is over, and the focus must now shift to working together to improve the lives of the people.
Speaking at Sefwi Wiawso, Afful reminded them that he was chosen by the electorate to represent their interests in Parliament. He stressed that this responsibility is not about partisanship but about ensuring growth and progress for the constituency. He therefore urged the people to rally behind him in unity to achieve meaningful development.
The MP noted that politics should not divide the community at this stage, as his main commitment is to bring development to Wiawso. He called for support from all citizens, regardless of their political background, to work together for the common good.
Afful humbly admitted that he is not perfect and may sometimes make mistakes. However, he encouraged the people to offer constructive criticism when necessary, as it would help him to perform better in serving their needs.
He also appealed to the media within the Western North Region to play a professional role in promoting development. According to him, journalists should uphold truth, avoid fabrications, and embrace constructive criticism that strengthens progress rather than tarnishes reputations.
The MP further emphasized that he does not believe in making unrealistic promises. Instead, he is committed to doing his very best as a representative of the people to bring the needed infrastructure and opportunities to Sefwi Wiawso.
