The father of Shadrach Nkuah, widely known as Shankus, has been laid to rest today, 15 November 2025, at Sefwi Boinzan in the Juaboso District. Okyeame Kofi Nkuah passed away on 22 March 2025.
Today marked the day the family set aside to honour and commit him to eternal rest. A solemn funeral service was held at the Bonsu Nkwanta Town Park, where mourners from far and near gathered to pay their final respects. After the service, his mortal remains will be transported to the Sefwi Boinzan Cemetery for burial. The funeral rites will continue at the Bonsu Nkwanta Town Park through today and tomorrow.

Okyeame Kofi Nkuah was born on 10 May 1934 at Sefwi Boinzan Old Town to OP. Kwadwo Asofi and OBP. Abena Sanwah. He grew up in Sefwi Boinzan, where he pursued his basic education and completed Form Four with distinction.
He began his professional journey as an Agricultural Service worker, a career he served diligently. His humility, commitment, and wisdom earned him deep respect within the community, eventually leading to his appointment as Okyeame at the Boinzan Palace in 1980.

Throughout his life, he entered into three marriages. His first marriage to Madam Asiedua of Juaboso ended after some years. He later married Madam Comfort Nkrumah of Adamase, and they were blessed with four children—two boys and two girls—two of whom have since passed on. After their separation, he married Madam Patience Asante of Boinzan, with whom he had seven children—two boys and five girls—and one has also passed.

Alongside his service in agriculture, he was a devoted farmer, a profession he faithfully maintained until his death. He is remembered as a dedicated father, a respected leader, and a pillar in his community whose contributions touched many lives.

The family, community, and traditional leaders continue to celebrate his legacy as they bid him a final farewell.
