The Second Edition of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Forum 2025 has been successfully held at St. Thomas Senior High Technical School in Asamankese, Eastern Region. The event marked the completion of the first cohort under the second edition of the initiative, bringing together students, educators, and youth leaders to explore practical ways of contributing to sustainable development within their communities.
The forum forms part of the Africa Youth Development Agenda Initiative (AYDA) of the Kofi Morgan Foundation, which is dedicated to empowering young people across Ghana and beyond. Through interactive sessions, workshops, and group discussions, participants were guided to understand the 17 SDGs and how they can apply them in real-life situations to create positive change in their schools and localities.

The program focused on nurturing leadership skills, critical thinking, and civic responsibility among students. It provided a platform for young participants to identify local challenges such as environmental degradation, inequality, and poor sanitation, and to develop innovative solutions aligned with the SDGs. The forum also encouraged teamwork and creativity as essential tools for sustainable community transformation.
Organisers of the SDGs Forum expressed satisfaction with the enthusiasm and engagement shown by students throughout the sessions. They reaffirmed their commitment to expanding the program to other schools across Ghana as part of efforts to build a generation of youth who are not only aware of global development goals but are also actively contributing to achieving them through practical, community-driven actions.
