Suaman DCE Leads Security Council to Sensitize Dadieso SHS Candidates Ahead of WASSCE

By legendreport

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Suaman, Vasco Obour, has led members of the District Security Council (DISEC) to engage final-year students of Dadieso Senior High School in a sensitization exercise ahead of the upcoming West African Examinations Council (WAEC) examinations.

The outreach, held on the school’s premises, formed part of DISEC’s proactive community education initiative aimed at promoting discipline, lawful behavior, and academic integrity among students preparing to sit for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Addressing the students, Obour underscored the need for integrity, hard work, and strict adherence to examination rules. He warned them against engaging in malpractice, cybercrime, drug abuse, and other offences that could derail their future.

“Your future is bright and must not be destroyed by avoidable mistakes. Stay focused, obey the law, and write your exams with confidence and honesty,” the DCE advised.

Security representatives, including personnel from the Ghana Police Service and other agencies, educated the students on common offences among the youth. They explained the legal repercussions of examination malpractice, impersonation, possession of unauthorized materials, and other unlawful acts.

The team also provided guidance on examination preparation, time and stress management, and personal security during the examination period.

Management of Dadieso Senior High School expressed appreciation to the DCE and DISEC for the timely intervention, describing the engagement as a morale booster that reinforced discipline and responsible conduct among candidates.

The visit reflects the Suaman District Assembly’s continuous commitment to supporting education, safeguarding students, and ensuring a peaceful and incident-free WASSCE period across the district.
