A young female teacher at Juaboso Senior High School, Godlove Esi Adams, has shared how social media has positively transformed her life and career.
Esi Adams, who emerged as the 2nd runner-up in the 2025 Ghana National Association of Teachers Ladies Association (GNAT-LAS) Beauty Contest, revealed that her journey into fashion and makeup began during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020.
She recounted that when schools were closed and movement was restricted, she decided to make good use of her time by learning new skills through YouTube tutorials. Through consistent practice, she mastered fashion design, wig-making, and makeup artistry skills that have now become an additional source of income alongside her teaching profession.

Her creativity and determination paid off when she designed and sewed her own dress for the national beauty contest, a step that contributed to her success as the 2nd runner-up in the competition.
Esi encouraged young people, especially women, to use social media for positive and productive purposes. She advised the youth not to limit social media to entertainment but to explore opportunities that foster personal growth and financial independence.
The District GNAT-LAS Coordinator, Madam Winifred Fafa Hormeku, commended Esi for her innovation and hard work. She urged women across the district to remain determined, focused, and confident in pursuing their dreams.
Madam Hormeku further encouraged female teachers to take advantage of social media as a tool for learning and empowerment rather than using it for unproductive activities.

The inspiring story of Esi Adams stands as a reminder that with determination, creativity, and the right use of technology, young professionals can transform their lives and make meaningful impact both personally and professionally.
