Three people have lost their lives in a fatal road accident at Asempaneye in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region.
The accident occurred earlier today, 31st March 2026 on the Asempaneye stretch of road leading to the Bia West District.
According to information gathered, the vehicle involved was travelling from Kumasi to Oseikojokrom.

Eyewitnesses said the crash happened at a sharp curve on the road, popularly known as the “SS-curve.” The driver reportedly applied the brakes while approaching the curve, but they failed, causing the vehicle to lose control.
Despite efforts to manage the situation, the vehicle veered off the road, crashed into a culvert, and somersaulted.
Two persons were pronounced dead at the scene, while a third victim later died from injuries sustained in the accident.
The Unit Committee Chairman, Simon Achibrah, confirmed the incident, stating that he was called to the scene shortly after it occurred. He explained that the vehicle, identified as a Stanbic with registration number 47-62-24, was travelling from Asempaneye Breman toward Oseikojokrom when the driver lost control.

According to him, the impact of the crash led to the immediate death of two occupants, with another later confirmed dead.
The injured victims were rushed to St. John of God Hospital at Sefwi Asafo for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary.
Police have since visited the scene and have begun investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident.
