Nana Ofori Ahenkan II, Chief of Sefwi Boinzan and Krontihene of Sefwi Wiawso, has marked three years since his enstoolment. In an exclusive interview with Legendreport, Nana Ahenkan reflected deeply on his journey, describing it as “hell and fire.
”According to the Chief, the past three years have been filled with numerous challenges. However, he remains unwavering in his commitment to serve the people of Sefwi Boinzan. “Despite the difficulties, I will never abandon my duties. I came to serve, and that is what I will continue to do,” he stated.Nana Ahenkan revealed that he was aware of the enstoolment litigation surrounding his predecessor but stepped into the role with a mindset of unity.
“I came with the intention to unite the people of Sefwi Boinzan. Unfortunately, the journey has changed, and not in a pleasant way,” he lamented.Highlighting his development agenda, the Chief noted his personal sacrifices and investments for the community. “I left my comfort zone to serve my people, yet I’ve faced opposition that sometimes makes me feel disheartened,” he admitted.He expressed disappointment over resistance from certain factions within the community, despite his open call for unity.

“I opened my arms to everyone, but instead, I was met with resistance and opposition,” he said.Nana Ahenkan outlined several initiatives he has undertaken, including:Paying school fees for underprivileged childrenAssisting residents with National Health Insurance registrationHiring town planners to design a layout for modernizing BoinzanPlanning to build a community durbar ground“These are my humble efforts to make Boinzan a better place,” he said. “I won’t praise myself. It’s up to the people to judge my leadership.”Despite the trials, Nana Ahenkan pledged not to relent.

“I will fight against any form of oppression and defend my people and the throne of my ancestors.”In a heartfelt message, he called for peace and unity, stating, “Boinzan can only progress when there is unity. I thank the Nananom and the good people of Sefwi Boinzan for standing with me during difficult times.
I will continue to serve with humility.
