Two persons have been confirmed dead and several others injured in a tragic accident involving two tricycles, commonly known as Pragyia, and a Kia Rhino truck at Achimfo, a community near Enchi in the Aowin Municipality of the Western North Region.
According to an eyewitness, identified as Isaiah, the fatal accident occurred when the two Pragyia reportedly attempted a wrongful overtaking on each other and a Kia Rhino truck, which was behind the two Pragyia allegedly had a brake failure and veered off its way to overtake the Pragyia. Subsequently, the two Pragyia, each with four passengers, crashed into the Kia Rhino.
Meanwhile, the Assemblyman for the Achimfo electoral area, Daniel Asare, confirmed to legendreport, that the impact of the crash was devastating, killing one person on the spot, and the other person was pronounced dead at Enchi government hospital. He mentioned that scores of others, including passengers aboard both tricycles, sustained varying degrees of injuries and were rushed to the Enchi Government Hospital for emergency treatment.
