A distinguished educationist, Mr. Prince Abubakar Djibo, has been appointed as the substantive Headmaster of Sefwi Bekwai Senior High School in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality, following years of exemplary service in various senior administrative roles within the education sector.
Mr. Djibo commenced his teaching career in 1995 at Sefwi Bekwai Senior High School. Through dedication and professional excellence, he rose to the position of Assistant Headmaster in charge of Administration, where he played a key role in enhancing the school’s operations and student welfare.
In 2007, he was transferred to Sefwi Wiawso Senior High School as Assistant Headmaster Academics. His leadership significantly improved the school’s academic performance and restored its standing as one of the leading educational institutions in the Western North Region.
Two years later, in 2009, Mr. Djibo was appointed Assistant Headmaster Academics for Sefwi Asawinso Senior High School. Under his administration, student enrolment expanded from hundreds to thousands, reflecting his strategic vision for institutional growth.
His tenure at Asawinso SHS was marked by notable academic improvements and enhanced discipline, which elevated the school’s reputation. This progress led to its upgrade from a day school to boarding status in 2016, further solidifying its academic standing.
In recognition of his exceptional teaching skills, Mr. Djibo was honoured in 2012 as 1 of the Best 4 English Language Teacher in the country —an achievement that brought prestige to both him and the Asawinso school community.
In 2022, he returned to Sefwi Wiawso Senior High School as Assistant Headmaster Administration, where his extensive experience and leadership once again contributed to institutional progress.
His recent appointment as Headmaster of Sefwi Bekwai Senior High School is widely regarded as a homecoming, bringing him back to the school where his career began. Stakeholders anticipate that his leadership will usher in a new era of academic excellence, infrastructural development, and strong student discipline.
