The 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) is currently underway across the country. On Monday, candidates sat for the Social Studies paper at various examination centers.
At the Juaboso Senior High School center in the Western North Region, the atmosphere was calm and orderly as candidates settled in to write the paper. Authorities at the school expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the exercise.
A total of 627 candidates registered to take the examination at Juaboso SHS, made up of 310 boys and 317 girls. According to the school, the turnout has so far been encouraging.
School authorities further disclosed that two of the female candidates are pregnant but reported to the center to write their papers. The guidance and counseling unit of the school has been working closely with the students to encourage and support them through the examination period.
The headmaster, Mr. Christian Dedjoe Djokotoe, who also serves as the internal supervisor, assured that adequate arrangements have been made to ensure that the pregnant candidates are comfortable and able to write without difficulties.

Meanwhile, three candidates were absent from the Social Studies paper. They include two girls and one boy. Authorities indicated that investigations are underway to determine why they failed to show up for the examination.
Overall, the conduct of the WASSCE at Juaboso SHS has been smooth, with strict adherence to examination regulations. Officials remain focus that the rest of the exercise will continue successfully.
