The Teacher Amoako Foundation, in collaboration with the Western North Development association and the Ghana Education Service, is organizing a regional reading competition for senior high schools in the Western North Region.
The initiative aims to promote literacy among students and nurture a strong reading culture within the youth of the region. It seeks to empower young minds through the transformative power of literature, in line with this year’s theme, “Empowering the Young Minds Through Literacy.”
Participating schools include Queens Girls Senior High School, Nana Brentu Senior High School, Awaso STEM Senior High School, Sefwi Wiawso Senior High School, Sefwi Wiawso Senior High Technical School, Sefwi Bekwai Senior High School, and Sefwi Asawinso Senior High School.
The competition promises to be highly competitive and rewarding, with the winning school receiving a cash prize of GHS 4,000. The first runner-up will take home GHS 2,000, while the second runner-up will receive GHS 1,000.
The event is scheduled for November 28, 2025, at Sefwi Wiawso Senior High School and will be hosted by the Teacher Amoako Foundation.
