Western North Region: Juaboso DCE Promises More Development in 2026

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Juaboso, Mr. Alexander Adu Quist, has assured residents of more developmental projects in 2026.

Speaking during the 31st Night service at the Havillah City of Prayers Ministry International, where he joined the congregation in worship, Mr. Adu Quist recounted his achievements since his confirmation as DCE.

According to him, upon assuming office, three major challenges confronted the district poor sanitation, low revenue mobilization, and weak accountability structures. With the support of the Juaboso District Assembly, he said significant progress has been made in all these areas.

He revealed that, for the first time in the district’s history, the assembly achieved its revenue mobilization target for 2025. Part of the internally generated funds, he said, has been used to construct weighing centers and expand markets at Bonsu Nkwanta and Proso Kofi Krom electoral areas.

In addition, part of the collected revenue was used to pay ex-gratia to former assembly members who served in the previous administration.
Mr. Quist also disclosed that the District Common Fund has been directed towards the construction of new school blocks and CHPS compounds for two communities, with contractors already on site and expected to complete the projects in 2026.

He noted that in the recent district performance assessment, Juaboso placed second in the region, earning a financial award which will be used for more community-benefiting projects such as the construction of a durbar ground at Juaboso and expansion of markets at Proso Kofi Krom, Boinzan, Mafia, and Asempaneye.

Mr. Adu Quist called on traditional leaders, stakeholders, and residents to unite and support the assembly’s efforts towards the district’s development.

He also expressed appreciation to assembly members and staff for their dedication and commitment to work.

He concluded by wishing all residents of the Juaboso District a happy and prosperous New Year.
