The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Regional Youth Organiser for the Western North Region, Mr. Frederick Asanate, has extended warm Christmas greetings to the people of the Western North Region and the nation at large, especially the youth.
In his message, he called on young people to use the festive season as a time for reflection, unity, and renewed commitment to national development.
Mr. Asanate urged the youth to celebrate the season responsibly and avoid actions that could endanger their lives or the peace of their communities.
He cautioned against excessive drinking, reckless behavior, and the use of hard drugs, which have led to many tragic incidents in past celebrations. According to him, Christmas should be a period of love, sharing, and gratitude, not a time for indulgence or violence.
The NDC youth leader further encouraged the youth to remain hopeful despite the economic challenges facing the country. He emphasized that young people are the backbone of Ghana’s progress and must stay focused on education, entrepreneurship, and community service.
Mr. Asanate reiterated his commitment to supporting youth empowerment programs and creating platforms that will help young men and women unlock their potential.
He also called for peace and tolerance among all political groups during the festive season, reminding Ghanaians that national unity is more important than political differences.
Mr. Asanate urged both government and opposition supporters to use this season to promote understanding and cooperation in the spirit of Christmas.
Mr. Frederick Asanate concluded his message by wishing every Ghanaian a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
He prayed for God’s blessings, peace, and protection for all, and encouraged the youth of the Western North Region to enter the new year with renewed hope, determination, and a strong desire to contribute positively to their communities and the nation.
