YEA Inks Two-Year Deal with Fire Service to Boost Fire Assistant Recruitment

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ghana National Fire Service to recruit 5,000 fire assistants across the country.According to Mr. Hayford Panyin, the Regional Director for YEA in the Western North Region, the program was officially launched last Saturday.

He announced that the recruitment portal will soon be open for all interested youth to apply for the program.Mr. Panyin emphasized that the minimum qualification required is a Senior High School certificate.

He assured that youth in the Western North Region will also have full access to the application portal if they are interested in the opportunity.He further revealed that they are scheduled to meet with the CEO of YEA to conduct a comprehensive workshop on how to use the portal and guide individuals through the application process.

Mr. Panyin also stated that the initiative will be available at all YEA offices in every district, encouraging interested youth to visit the district offices for assistance.He confirmed that the two-year contract is fully sponsored by the Government of Ghana through YEA, and that the Ministry of Finance will facilitate payment to successful recruits through the YEA system.
