Zoomlion Boss in Bono East Breaks Silence on Viral Pay Allegations

The Bono East Regional Coordinator for Zoomlion Ghana Limited, Mr. Emmanuel Abasiya, has strongly refuted allegations circulating on social media regarding the remuneration of sanitation workers under the company’s nationwide program. In an exclusive interview on Fabea FM with host Apiah-Kubi, Mr. Abasiya addressed claims that Zoomlion is exploiting its workers and failing to adhere to the terms of its contract with the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).

He clarified that the contract between Zoomlion and YEA clearly outlines the financial structure, including the payments due to workers and the management fee allocated to Zoomlion.“The recruitment agreement states that YEA is solely responsible for recruiting workers,” Abasiya explained. “Zoomlion only verifies appointment letters and Ghana cards before onboarding beneficiaries.”He emphasized that the funds used to pay workers are provided directly by YEA, not Zoomlion, thereby refuting allegations of underpayment or contractual breaches.“You can verify from the workers themselves; the appointment letters come from YEA,” he added.

“We strictly follow the financial and operational guidelines outlined in the agreement.”Mr. Abasiya reaffirmed Zoomlion’s commitment to supporting employment through its sanitation module and urged the public to seek accurate information before spreading misleading claims.
