We are just a few days away from electing our 2028 flagbearer.
Let us remember that elections are won by sound campaign strategy, strong messages, credibility, and the belief of the people, not insults.
Dr. Alexande Ampaabeg and qoute”We are one NPP. No so-called “camp” can win a general election without the other. Mutual respect and issue-based campaigning are therefore not optional; they are a necessity.
Ampaabeng said internal election should be a healthy competition that brings out the best in our party, not one characterised by disparaging remarks that only hand ammunition to our future opponents.
No one has the license to decide who another person should support in this contest. Our party is built on freedom, and we must respect people’s choices. Once a contest is opened, differences in preference are natural, and they must be respected.
A lot of damage may already have been done, but we still have the opportunity to protect the party and enhance future reconciliation if we commit to a clean campaign in the next 27 days and ensure a free and fair election on 31st January.
Let us rise above pettiness, put party before parochial interests, and remember that the Elephant is bigger than all of us individually.
