The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is continuing its internal elections across the country to elect executives who will lead the party for the next four years.
In the Western North Region, elections for regional executive positions are scheduled for November 15, 2026, following the nomination and filing processes and vetting of aspirants held on October 17, 2026.
Speaking to LegendReport after the vetting exercise, the incumbent NDC Western North Regional Chairman, Michael Aidoo (big Aidoo) who is seeking re-election, said he would be ready to support his opponent if he failed to secure another term in office.
He stressed that his primary concern was for the NDC to remain in power, adding that he would continue to benefit from the party’s governance even if he was no longer the regional chairman.
I will still benefit if I am not the Regional Chairman and the party is in power, he said.
“I don’t think anybody will be benefiting more than me in the region when the party is in power,” he stated.
The chairman’s comments come as the NDC prepares for its regional executive elections, which will determine the party’s leadership in the Western North Region for the next four years.
