Dr Alex Ampaabeng has urged delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to approach today’s elections with a strong sense of responsibility, calling on them to prioritise competence, integrity, unity and service.
According to him, the decisions delegates make at the polls go beyond individual interests, as they have implications for the future direction of the party and the country.
He said delegates represent the aspirations of party members across the country, including farmers, students, unemployed young people and grassroots members who have contributed to the growth of the party.
Dr Ampaabeng therefore appealed to delegates to look beyond friendships, political camps and personal interests when casting their ballots.
He encouraged them to support leaders who have the capacity to organise effectively, listen to the concerns of members, inspire the grassroots and deliver on their responsibilities.
“Your vote is not a personal favour. It is a sacred trust,” he said.
Dr Ampaabeng stressed that political success requires more than rhetoric, noting that hard work, effective organisation and unity would be critical to the party’s future.
He further urged delegates to keep the 2028 elections in mind, saying the party needs a national team capable of rebuilding confidence, reconnecting with the grassroots and creating opportunities for Ghanaians.
“The decisions you make today will shape the direction of our party tomorrow,” he stated.
Dr Ampaabeng concluded his message with a call for delegates to prioritise competence, unity and service, while expressing hope for a strong future for the NPP and Ghana.
He ended with the party’s slogan: “Development in Freedom.”
Long Live the NPP.
Long Live Ghana. 🇬🇭
