Eric Opoku, Ghana’s Minister for Food and Agriculture, has held a meeting with the Vice-President of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome, Italy, to strengthen cooperation between Ghana and the international agricultural body.
The engagement focused on the importance of international collaboration in advancing agricultural development, enhancing food security and promoting sustainable farming practices.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to explore ways to deepen cooperation between Ghana and the FAO to build a resilient agricultural sector and improve the livelihoods of farmers.
Strengthening the partnership is expected to support efforts towards sustainable food systems, improved agricultural productivity and long-term food security.
The engagement forms part of broader efforts to promote collaboration with international partners in building a stronger and more sustainable agricultural future for Ghana.
