The Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has donated more than 30 motorcycles to National Democratic Congress (NDC) coordinators in the constituency to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Madam Affo-Toffey, who also serves as Deputy Minister for Transport, said the donation was intended to improve the mobility of party coordinators and enable them to carry out their activities more effectively, particularly in hard-to-reach communities.

The gesture follows requests from constituency NDC coordinators for logistical support to help them access remote communities, where transportation challenges have reportedly affected their grassroots engagements.

According to the MP, the provision of the motorcycles forms part of efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures, improve community engagement and ensure that coordinators can reach more residents across the constituency.

She reaffirmed her commitment to promoting unity within the party and providing the necessary logistical support to empower grassroots organisers as the NDC prepares for the 2028 general elections.

The motorcycles are expected to ease transportation difficulties, particularly in communities where long distances and poor road access often make movement challenging.

Madam Affo-Toffey also called for continued collaboration among party members and supporters, emphasising the importance of unity and collective effort in building stronger party structures and contributing to Ghana’s development.

The donation comes as political parties begin strengthening their grassroots networks and organisational structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
