Prophet Dr. Wisdom Aha Calls for Lasting Solutions to Ghana’s Flooding Crisis

As floodwaters once again inundate communities across Ghana, Prophet Dr. Wisdom Aha, General Overseer of Believers Weapon Ministry, has called on leaders, institutions, and citizens to confront the root causes of the country’s recurring environmental and flooding challenges.

According to Prophet Dr. Wisdom Aha, Ghana must stop treating symptoms while ignoring the real causes of its problems.

If we continue treating symptoms while ignoring the disease, then we should not be surprised when the disease grows worse. If we continue managing disasters instead of preventing them, then we are preparing the same suffering for our children and grandchildren, he stated.

The respected man of God questioned whether the nation is genuinely committed to solving the persistent challenges that continue to affect ordinary citizens every year.

Every year, the rains come, homes are flooded, roads become rivers, businesses suffer, and families lose valuable properties. We complain, promises are made, and after a few weeks everything returns to normal until the next disaster strikes. Then the cycle repeats itself, he lamented.

Prophet Dr. Wisdom Aha noted that many of the factors contributing to flooding and environmental degradation are well known, yet little action is taken to address them.

He expressed concern about illegal mining activities, the destruction of forests, and the pollution of water bodies, warning that these practices continue to expose communities to greater environmental risks and disasters.

This is not about politics. It is about our future,” he emphasized.

The General Overseer further stressed that Ghana possesses the intelligence, resources, and legal frameworks needed to address these challenges. However, he believes the country often lacks the courage, commitment, and determination required to enforce laws and implement lasting solutions.

The floodwaters we see today are not just carrying mud and debris. They are carrying years of neglect, poor planning, weak enforcement, and missed opportunities, he said.

Prophet Dr. Wisdom Aha called on government leaders, traditional authorities, institutions, and citizens to work together to ensure accountability and sustainable development.

Our leaders must listen. Our traditional authorities must speak up. Our institutions must act. And we, the citizens, must continue to demand accountability,” he urged.

Concluding his message, he challenged Ghanaians to reflect on the role they are playing in addressing national problems.

One day, history will ask what we did when we knew the problems. May our answer not be that we remained silent. May our answer be that we stood up, spoke out, and fought for lasting solutions. Our communities deserve better. Ghana deserves better.
