The Western North Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Michael Aidoo, popularly known as Big Aidoo, has declared his determination to recapture the Suaman parliamentary seat for the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
According to Mr Aidoo, the NDC lost the Suaman seat to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the previous general elections, and he is determined to work towards reclaiming it in 2028.
The Regional Chairman has consistently emphasised the need for the NDC to win back the seat whenever he has the opportunity to address issues concerning the party’s parliamentary fortunes in the Western North Region.
Speaking to the media after undergoing vetting as an aspiring regional executive, Mr Aidoo said he and his team had worked hard to secure eight of the region’s nine parliamentary seats for the NDC, leaving Suaman as the remaining target.
He expressed confidence that the party could reclaim the seat and secure a clean sweep of all nine constituencies in the region in the 2028 elections.
“Suaman, here I come,” Mr Aidoo declared, signalling his determination to lead the party’s efforts to recapture the constituency.
He further pledged to work with party executives, members and grassroots supporters to ensure that all nine parliamentary seats in the Western North Region are won by the NDC in 2028.
Mr Aidoo made these remarks at Sefwi Wiawso during the vetting of aspirants contesting the NDC’s upcoming regional executive elections.
His declaration sets the stage for renewed political efforts in Suaman as the NDC seeks to strengthen its parliamentary representation across the Western North Region ahead of the 2028 general elections.
