Deputy Constituency Communication Officer hopeful for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Sefwi Wiawso Constituency, Oliver Kwasi Nyarko, has called on party delegates to support his bid, stressing that the remarkable achievements of the NDC government’s Reset Agenda must be effectively communicated to secure victory in the 2028 general elections.
According to Mr. Nyarko, the significant development taking place across the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality demonstrates what purposeful leadership and committed governance can achieve within a short period. He commended the Member of Parliament for Sefwi Wiawso, Kofi Afful Benteh, the Municipal Chief Executive, the Municipal Assembly, and other stakeholders for spearheading numerous development projects that are transforming the municipality.
He noted that in less than eighteen months, the NDC government has made substantial progress in education, healthcare, road infrastructure, agriculture and social intervention programmes. These include the construction of classroom blocks, teachers’ quarters, dormitories, kindergarten facilities, CHPS compounds, maternity blocks, children’s wards, nurses’ quarters, road rehabilitation projects and the ongoing construction of the 24-Hour Economy Market.
Mr. Nyarko further highlighted government interventions aimed at improving livelihoods, including the distribution of free fertilisers, oil palm seedlings, the Nkoko Nketekete initiative, apprenticeship support programmes, borehole projects and assistance to Persons with Disabilities.
He stated that, in the political history of the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality since 1992, it is difficult to identify another Member of Parliament who has simultaneously initiated, supervised and commissioned development projects across virtually every key sector within such a short period.
Despite these achievements, Mr. Nyarko believes that effective communication remains essential to ensuring that residents fully appreciate the progress being made.
Development that is not properly communicated can easily be overlooked. Our responsibility is to ensure that every household, every community and every voter understands the transformational work being undertaken under the Reset Agenda,he said.
Mr. Nyarko pledged that if elected as Deputy Constituency Communication Officer, he would work closely with the Constituency Communication Officer to promote the achievements of the Member of Parliament, the Municipal Chief Executive and the NDC government while strengthening the party’s communication machinery ahead of the 2028 elections.
He appealed to delegates to entrust him with the mandate, promising to dedicate his experience, commitment and energy to mobilising support for the party and ensuring that the NDC’s development record reaches every voter.
The road to victory in 2028 begins with effective communication today. Our development record is strong, our message is compelling and our responsibility is to ensure that every voter hears it, he emphasised.
Mr. Nyarko concluded by urging party members to unite behind the party’s vision, saying, “Together, we communicate. Together, we mobilise. Together, we win.
